Builder Wins Big From £10 Free Bet

A lucky manchester builder recently put his £10 free bet to very good use, using it to scoop an amazing £15,000. Danny Murphy placed the five-bet accumulator on the result of 5 different league games (3 premiership games and 2 championship matches). The bets each consisted of a result and both teams to score.

The lucky punter predicted that:

Leicester would beat Hull, Swansea would beat Burnley, Liverpool would beat Arsenal, Sheffield Wednesday would beat Norwich and Newcastle to beat Huddersfield. Both teams had to score in all five matches too. This seems like a very big ask on the face of it, but it was clearly Mr Murphy’s day.

The total winnings came in at  £15,714.80. Danny rejoined Facebook to let his friends know about his stroke of luck. He summed up his win by saying:  “If anyone was due a bit of luck it was me … one word … booooooooooom! Drinks on me tonight. Let the good time roll haha.”

Both Teams to Score, Tuesday, March 7

Both Teams to Score, Tuesday, March 7 Blackburn Rovers versus Cardiff (5/6 with Sky Bet)

Blackburn have kept five clean sheets in 18 games at Ewood Park this season and failed to score just three times. Cardiff City, on the other hand, have kept just two clean sheets and failed to score just four times on the road.

Fulham versus Leeds United (8/13 with Sky Bet)

Four clean sheets and failure to score just twice in 17 games at Craven Cottage make Fulham an attractive betting proposition for BTTS punters, especially as Leeds have a very similar record away from Elland Road this season; the Whites have kept the same number of clean sheets and failed to score just once more than the home side in as many games.

Nottingham Forest versus Brentford (8/15 with Sky Bet)

Overall, both teams have scored in 12 of the 17 matches Forest have played at the City Ground this season, the Reds keeping just three clean sheets and failing to score just twice. Brentford have been ‘BTTS Friendly’ on their travels, too, keeping just four clean sheets and failing to score just four times in 18 games away from Griffin Park.

Uni Student wins £9,000 with Cheltenham Acca

Uni Student wins £9,000 with Cheltenham Acca A lucky Birmingham student slightly lessened any student debt concerns that he had on December 11th 2015 with an unlikely £9,000 win resulting from two winning 5 pence lines in an accumulator bet totalling £32.40. The second year student couldn’t believe his luck as he received the early Christmas present of £9,177 after he six-fold Cheltenham accumulator came up.

Student Lewis Sindle’s grandfather, who himself had worked on race courses for decades, had suggested that his grandson put an accumulator bet on, and it definitely turned out to be the right decision. After placing the bet in a betting shop in Whittlesey, UK, Lewis went to buy some chips (such a student thing to do!) only to return to the realisation that he’d made it six for six, pocketing almost ten grand for his troubles for a total £32.40 stake as part of a 5p tote placepot (he chose three horse selections for most of the six races). The two 5p lines entitled him to 10% of the £90,000+ placepot.

“I stood up and my hands were shaking, I had to ask for a glass of water.” said Lewis who intends to treat his family and girlfriend with the winnings.

Lewis is perhaps luckier than most punters out there, though of course it’s largely down to the type of bet he opted for – a rather speculative accumulator. There are so many accumulator style bets to choose from. Typically an accumulator bet consists of four or more selections that you need to get a result from in order to win. Many people opt for unlikely yet more doable four or five fold accumulators, but some go further than this hoping for a huge win. We can all dream though, right?

While many go for horse racing accumulators, football betting has also really taken centre stage in recent decades, with so many betting options available such as predicting the correct score, half time – full time result and so on. The options are endless. Where to place your bet is also a consideration, with many joining bookies that offer incensitives like sign up bonuses or free bets. It’s always worth having a good look around to see what freebies are available!
